In this workshop, you will be introduced to working with clay using only your hands and tools, no wheel required! This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of working with clay and to bring home your own unique plant pot! - Introduction to clay and pottery - Shaping clay - Building pieces with clay and slip - Painting and decorating with underglaze - Finishing your pieces How Long: 2.5 hrs Where: Victor's studio, located at Gorst Road Studios, a vibrant community of artists at the heart of Park Royal, Ealing Borough Who: Up to 12 people How Much: £45 per person (including clay, firing, and glazing) More info: At the end of the session, you will be asked to choose up to 2 pieces to be fired. These pieces will be fired, glazed, and will be available for collection within 4 weeks (it's a long process!). If you would like to keep more than two pieces, this can also be arranged. About Victor: Victor is a part-time potter and a full-time neuroscientist. His pottery work ranges from functional ware to sculptural work with a focus on organic forms. In early 2023, Victor appeared at the new BBC 1's show Make It At Market!
