These pieces are made to order and take 4-8 weeks to produce. Pottery is a slow process that involves several stages from start to finish and there it should not be rushed.

The first stage is the creation of the pottery piece. This is done by hand-building, wheel-throwing, or a combination of both. Hand-building involves using clay and shaping it into the desired form using tools or your hands. Wheel-throwing involves using a pottery wheel to shape the clay into the desired form.

Once the pottery piece has been shaped, it must then be left to dry. This process can take several days or even weeks! Once the piece is dry, it is then fired in a kiln. This process hardens the clay and gives it its final shape.

After firing, the pottery piece is glazed. Glazing is the process of applying a layer of liquid glass to the surface of the pottery piece. This gives it a glossy finish and adds color. Glazing also makes the pottery piece waterproof, which is necessary for functional pottery.

Finally, the pottery piece must be fired again in a kiln to set the glaze. This is called the glaze firing. After glaze firing, the pottery piece is complete and ready to use.

As you can see, pottery is a slow process that involves several stages. It takes time and patience to create a beautiful piece of pottery.
